Hand-arm vibration exposure is one of the occupational risks faced by workers who repeatedly use vibrating tools. This community service project focused on enforcing the requirement to wear gloves whenever workers operate Ultra Low Volume (ULV) equipment at CV. X in Samarinda. The study involved four field workers and was conducted through observation, interviews, questionnaires, problem prioritization using the USG method, and root cause analysis using a fishbone diagram. The USG results indicated that high vibration exposure due to the use of Ultra Low Volume (ULV) equipment was a priority issue with a score of 53. The fishbone diagram analysis identified causes related to methods, machinery, people, and the work environment, including the absence of an SOP for HAVS prevention, the lack of vibration dampers, fogging equipment that generates vibrations, workers’ lack of knowledge and awareness, excessively long equipment usage durations, tight work schedules, and field conditions that require continuous equipment use. Interventions were implemented through pre-work reminders, inspections of glove condition, mandatory glove use during Ultra Low Volume (ULV) operations, and direct supervision. The results of the observation showed an increase in compliance with glove use; workers became more accustomed to using them and reported that their grip on tools felt more comfortable and their hands did not tire as quickly. This initiative serves as a practical control measure to foster safer work practices, although the use of gloves still needs to be supplemented by other controls targeting the source of vibration.
